Astro Erle, Was a New York, club kid that became prominent during the Disco 2000 era. After hearing about Michael Alig’s club kids, Erle left the San Francisco bay area and moved to New York in 1989. Astro quickly became a fixture at Disco 2000, Astro was there every week and was paid with drink tickets.

Ernie Glam said that Astro, ” Had some of the freakiest looks at Disco 2000 in the early 90’s and he’s actually continued over the decades, to have insane looks.” In Describing her own look, Erle said, “I took it to the next level. I’ve always felt I needed to be one step ahead of the game.. Just two steps forward from anybody else.. for shock value.”

On May 20, 2014 NYMag.com Reported that Erle ” Is a hairstylist at Jersey City’s most outré salon, Balance. “The owner, Carla, used to be a dancer at Limelight in the ‘80s,” says Erle. “It’s a punk rock anarchist hair place and we believe in aliens.” He still throws parties during his off hours. “They’re more glam and rock and roll,” he says. “I don’t have to get so done up; I can just be myself. I don’t have to be a lady anymore. Well I wasn’t a lady; I was a clown, honey.”

Over the last few years, Astro has been an occasional guest on Michael Alig and Ernie Glam’s the Pee-ew. Astro revealed on episode 227 that She’s an anarchist, who squats because she refuses to spend money on rent and has been in a long term relationship since 2001.

In episode 243 Astro clarified her claim that she that she was an anarchist saying “I am an anarchist.. I don’t believe in the system, I don’t believe in eating meat, I don’t believe in paying taxes.. I’ve been a vegan most of my life and the (Rental) rates that they ask for and globally raising rent, it’s too much, It’s ridiculous what they fucking ask!..

On June 23, 2015 Page6.com reported that Astro was in attendance at the premiere of Glory Daze: The life and times of Michael Alig. The wrote that Astro ” was spotted lying in the middle of an aisle.”

In April, 2017 Erle was arrested for graffiti and public urination, In May of 2017, Erle spoke to Ernie Glam at Michael Alig’s Birthday party on Episode #394 “I was tagging in Coney Island, so what, I was with my daughter and my .. dealer, so what! So then I got busted for pissing.. they got me on 2 counts.” Ernie asked if Astro Had to go to jail; Erle responded, “Yes, for 19 hours, no water no food.. My attorney that got accounted to me, she was like, “how should I address you? Should I say Miss Astro or Mr. Astro?”. That was nice, I was like, just get me out of here.”

Astro went on to reveal that she was trans, saying, “I’m transitioning” Glam replied, ” From what, drunk to drunker?” Astro replied, “Just trying to be.. just want to be a lady.”
